With over 30 years experience in hydraulics and excellent back up from major hydraulic and engineering companies in the capital cities, Laurie & Diane have been able to expand that knowledge immeasurably for all customers.
Westlands Engineering & Hydraulics service customers from all over Queensland, offering parts replacements and repairs for all types and makes of machinery. Using their wide range of special tools, they are able to do repairs and testing of almost any brand and type of hydraulic part.
Westlands Engineering & Hydraulics specialize in making odd type hydraulic rams and with the ram repair bench, are able to dismantle and repair rams of any size quickly. The large range of seals and o' rings in stock allows most rams to be repaired immediately, saving on downtime.They also have large stocks of RYCO Hose and Fittings and are able to make replacement hoses using RYCO made and tested parts in house, or in the field with a fully equipped Mobile Hose Vehicle.
As the business grew, more equipment was purchased or built, to speed up repair and testing time. The hydraulic test bench unit has the capacity of up to 56 gallons per minute at 5000psi, which is more than necessary for testing any hydraulic pump, motor or control valve in the area.
With the workshop equipment, all hydraulic and engineering repairs are able to be carried out on all types of machinery used in agricultural industries.
The company is also a major supplier to the oil and gas industry with a long list of major companies as their customers. They are contracted to manufacture and supply pistons and valves for an oil company in western Queensland and recently manufactured two wire line units for service in New Guinea.
Westlands Engineering & Hydraulics are the hydraulic system specialists and can set up systems on all types of machinery including dozers and tractors. They can repair hydraulic cylinders and have most shafting up to 2-1/2" in stock. Most seals up to five inches are held in stock and larger ones can be ordered from any of their four main suppliers with a minimum of fuss.
Westlands Engineering & Hydraulics have perhaps the best variety and stock in the district, because they know what their customers will probably need and endeavour to keep those parts on hand for them.
Westlands Engineering & Hydraulics are agents for VALVOLINE OIL products, a wide range of bearings, sprockets and chain and hold most products in stock. They are also authorised Digga agents and can show customers the many different styles of post hole diggers available for skid steer loaders, hydraulic down force ram drills and all attachments. A large range of Digga wear parts are kept in stock.
